Grow Into Life ist ein digitales Babytagebuch. Du hältst darin die Entwicklung deines Kindes fest — Meilensteine, Fotos, Maße, Zähne — und kannst das Tagebuch mit Menschen teilen, die du selbst einlädst. Die Daten liegen in deinem persönlichen Konto. Sie werden nicht verkauft, nicht an Dritte weitergegeben, nicht ausgewertet und nicht für Werbung genutzt.
Keine Werbung im Tagebuch, kein Crash-Reporting an Dritte. Die App zeigt keine Anzeigen und bindet kein Werbenetzwerk ein. Deine Einträge, Fotos und die Daten deines Kindes verlassen den Kreis der eingeladenen Personen nicht — sie werden niemals an Meta oder sonst jemanden übermittelt.
Eine Messung gibt es dennoch, und nur mit deiner Einwilligung. Wir schalten Anzeigen für die App und wollen wissen, welche davon funktioniert. Dafür fragt die App dich beim ersten Start, ob du damit einverstanden bist. Sagst du nein, wird nichts gemessen und der Meta-Baustein wird gar nicht erst gestartet. Sagst du ja, werden drei Ereignisse gemeldet — App geöffnet, Testzeit begonnen, Kauf abgeschlossen — zusammen mit der Werbekennung deines Geräts. Details stehen in Abschnitt 4a. Du kannst die Einwilligung jederzeit widerrufen: Profil → Einstellungen.

Die App richtet sich ausschließlich an Erwachsene. Die Angaben über das Kind gibst du als sorgeberechtigte Person ein und erteilst damit zugleich die Einwilligung nach Art. 8 DSGVO für dein Kind. Kinder selbst können sich nicht registrieren und die App nicht eigenständig nutzen.
Die App nutzt Google Firebase als Auftragsverarbeiter (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Irland):
Mit Google besteht ein Auftragsverarbeitungsvertrag; für etwaige Übermittlungen in Drittländer gelten die EU-Standardvertragsklauseln. Beim Kauf der Vollversion wird die Zahlung ausschließlich von Apple abgewickelt — wir erhalten keine Zahlungsdaten, sondern nur die Information, ob ein gültiger Kauf vorliegt. Solange du offline bist, bleiben deine Einträge auf dem Gerät und werden bei bestehender Verbindung synchronisiert.
Wir schalten Anzeigen für Grow Into Life. Um zu erkennen, welche Anzeige tatsächlich zu einer Installation geführt hat, kann die App das Facebook-SDK von Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Irland, verwenden.
Die App zeigt selbst keine Werbung an. Es geht ausschließlich darum zu messen, ob unsere eigenen Anzeigen ihr Geld wert sind.
Nur du und die Personen, die du selbst über einen Einladungscode hinzufügst. Die Zugriffsregeln werden serverseitig durchgesetzt: ohne Mitgliedschaft an einem Babybuch ist kein Zugriff auf dessen Daten möglich. Eine Freigabe kannst du jederzeit in der App widerrufen; die betroffene Person verliert damit den Zugriff, und die lokale Kopie auf ihrem Gerät wird beim nächsten Start gelöscht.
Deine Daten bleiben gespeichert, solange dein Konto besteht. Du kannst dein Konto jederzeit in der App löschen: Profil → Einstellungen → Konto löschen. Dabei werden dein Nutzerprofil, deine Babybücher samt Meilensteinen, Fotos und Maßen, deine Mitgliedschaften sowie dein Anmeldekonto entfernt. Der Vorgang ist nicht umkehrbar.
Beides wird ausschließlich nach deiner ausdrücklichen Aktion genutzt. Die App liest die Fotomediathek nicht im Hintergrund aus.
Diese Seiten werden über GitHub Pages (GitHub Inc., 88 Colin P. Kelly Jr. St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA) ausgeliefert. Beim Aufruf verarbeitet GitHub technisch notwendige Server-Logdaten einschließlich deiner IP-Adresse (Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO). Schriften sind selbst gehostet, es werden keine Cookies gesetzt und keine Analysewerkzeuge eingesetzt.
Du hast das Recht auf Auskunft (Art. 15), Berichtigung (Art. 16), Löschung (Art. 17), Einschränkung der Verarbeitung (Art. 18), Datenübertragbarkeit (Art. 20) und Widerspruch (Art. 21 DSGVO). Eine erteilte Einwilligung — insbesondere zu den Gesundheitsdaten — kannst du jederzeit mit Wirkung für die Zukunft widerrufen, indem du die betreffenden Angaben löschst. Außerdem steht dir ein Beschwerderecht bei einer Datenschutz-Aufsichtsbehörde zu.
Wird die App um Funktionen erweitert, die andere Daten verarbeiten, aktualisieren wir diese Erklärung und weisen in der App darauf hin.

Grow Into Life is a digital baby journal. You record your child’s development — milestones, photos, measurements, teeth — and you can share the journal with people you invite yourself. The data lives in your personal account. It is never sold, never shared with third parties, never profiled and never used for advertising.
No ads in the journal, no third-party crash reporting. The app displays no advertising and embeds no ad network. Your entries, photos and your child’s data never leave the circle of people you invited — they are never transmitted to Meta or anyone else.
There is measurement, and only with your consent. We run ads for the app and want to know which ones work. The app therefore asks you on first launch whether you agree. If you decline, nothing is measured and the Meta component is never started. If you agree, three events are reported — app opened, trial started, purchase completed — together with your device’s advertising identifier. Details in section 4a. You can withdraw consent at any time under Profile → Settings.

The app is intended for adults only. You enter the information about your child as the person holding parental responsibility, and thereby give the consent required under Art. 8 GDPR on the child’s behalf. Children cannot register or use the app on their own.
The app uses Google Firebase as a processor (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland): Firebase Authentication for sign-in, Cloud Firestore for journal data (stored in europe-west3, Frankfurt, Germany) and Firebase Storage for photos. A data processing agreement is in place; EU standard contractual clauses cover any third-country transfers. Payments for the full version are handled entirely by Apple — we never receive payment details, only whether a valid purchase exists.
We run ads for Grow Into Life. To find out which ad actually led to an install, the app may use the Facebook SDK from Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland.
The app itself displays no advertising. This is purely about measuring whether our own ads are worth their money.
Only you and the people you add via an invitation code. Access is enforced server-side: without a membership in a baby book, its data cannot be read. You can revoke access at any time in the app; the person then loses access and the local copy on their device is removed on next launch.
Your data is kept for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account at any time in the app under Profile → Settings → Delete account. This removes your user profile, your baby books including milestones, photos and measurements, your memberships and your sign-in account. The operation cannot be undone.
Photo library — only to attach pictures you select to a milestone. Camera — only to take a photo directly in the app. Both are used solely in response to your explicit action; the app does not read the photo library in the background.
These pages are served via GitHub Pages (GitHub Inc., San Francisco, USA), which processes technically necessary server log data including your IP address (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Fonts are self-hosted, no cookies are set and no analytics are used.
You have the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21 GDPR). You may withdraw consent — in particular for health data — at any time with future effect by deleting the entries in question. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
